I've got this song in my mind and can't find it, sure is not rare at all. Lyrics goes something like:

'If you buy a ?? you must know ???
if you .... you must know ...."

The melody I believe is taken from this slavery related tune, kinf of 'Work song' many jazz players play a bit of it when soloing.
