Proverbial Reggae - dubs?

Hi guys
The Gladiators' Proverbial Reggae, and the trio in general, really got me into reggae. Listening to the album yesterday, the rhythms are amazing. Are there any dubs, versions, or anything related to any of the tracks on this album ?
For example, there's an extension of Dreadlocks the Time is Now aka Roots Natty on their Live at Sunsplash with Israel Vibration (

Would love to hear the version to Marvel Not or Can You Imagine How I Feel.
Cheers

I've seen this question come up a few times over the years - and it seems that the answer is basically - "no" - there's no easy to find versions out there - like you I'd love there to have been a dub LP around somewhere that could be matched with "proverbial reggae"!

That's a shame, thanks for the info. Still going to keep my eyes/ears open.

i don't think so either, at least not that i've heard of. In fact i don't know of too many gladiators dub tracks period. They did a lot of versions of their early coxsone/studio 1 tracks. Some of their nighthawk albums have dubs (Symbol of reality, Dread Prophecy, etc but usually only on the cds) and there are killer 12" extended mixes of the following tracks which you might look out for:
Don't fool the young girls
pretending
righteous man
pocket money (boom!)
Happy man
can't stop righteousness (killer!)
That's all i know, although i'm not a expert. Just a big fan of the Gladiators. Proverbial Reggae is tops! The video of them in the studio with prince tony robinson is pretty inspiring too.....(from roots, rock, reggae).

It does seem odd that Virgin Records never issued a Gladiators dub album. They did with I Roy & the Mighty Diamonds.Dubs to most of Culture's Virgin stuff has appeared on dub album.....so maybe Virgin has dubs in the vault? (wishfull thinking maybe).
Of course you can hear some Gladiators dubs on 12" & the B side of their 7"s like Eli Eli for example.

Looking at the Discogs website it's kind of weird that the Gladiators didn't seem to release many 7"s post studio one & even when they did, the 7"s released by virgin have another vocal track on the b side rather than a dub?
