Does anyone know what year and how the man passed? A supreme sax player with a story typical of reggae. He Played on so many crucial records, yet it is very hard to find much info from the net or otherwise about him. I've tryed the Gleaner archives but to no avail. Guidance

Not sure but he died either in 1979 or the year after, he had moved to NYC and did the wrong things, or turned up at the wrong place at the wrong time, something like that.

In the beginning of the eighties Dirty Harry toured with the Burning Spear (I even believe it was 1982 or 1983). At the time, the horns section consisted of him and Bobby Ellis. Bobby Ellis is still active as well, I saw him approx. 2 years ago with he Mighty Diamonds.

I doubt he was the one on tour in '83, he got killed earlier than that. Regardless, nice horn player, he did some funny things in the movie too. And yes Jah Brown, I have been told something similar... wrong side of the law again.
