I downloaded this compilation a few days ago and it is really great, i didnt know anything from that studio and from that artists, i only knew the jack ruby`s productions
are there any more records from these artists or this studio (T.S.O.S.A)? And wich is the origin of this compilation?

Excellect album,

I once had the original clappers album from 1975. It has since been re-issued on Honest Jon label.
Keep looking for it on CD but have had no joy.

T.S.O.A.S The Sound of Saint Annes is the Sound.

The title track from the Skulls features Tony Thomas on vocals who, I believe, was a member of Justin Hinds and the Dominoes.

The other tracks by the Arrows and Original Survivors feature vocals by the then Burning Spear`s harmony singers.

Regarding the instrumentalists, if my memory serves me right, they are Horsemouth Wallace, Family Man Barrett,Robbie Shakespeare, Earl Wire Lindo, Chinna Smith Sticky Thompson, Tommy McCook, Dirty Harry, Vin Gordon & Bobby Ellis.

Basically many of the main session players of the day.

Amazing LP, the reissue is nice, with the great original cover. ;;"was the black...slavery days, can't you see", a must have.

Jack Ruby Hi Fi is highly recommendable. Four crucial roots tracks, each extended with a long King Tubby's dubwise.

There's another Ruby comp on cd 'Black Foundation'. A few good tunes, but imo not as good as Hi Fi and Black Slavery Days.

There`s also "Black Foundation in Dub" which is the dub counterpart to Black Foundation.

This is also a good album.

Great re-issue and a pricey one at that.
Awaiting future "Clappers" related re-issues.
