Hi
Having searched on the archive I haven't managed to find one thread referring to Tin Legs.
Is there a reason for this?
Surely someone must like his drumming style. How about his kit destroying performance on Black Panta, for example? Fantastic.
I've looked on the archive so I know which albums he played on and there are 3 references to him in Dave Katz's "Solid Foundation" book, but they don't go into much depth.
Does he still play? Is he still alive?
Can anyone tell me more about him?
Thanks.

Re: Tin Legs (Lloyd Adams)
The ruff & tuff way to play creates the wickedest hi-hat sound, in my opinion. And that's Tin Legs' business if anything. Other than that, he isn't _that_ special a drummer. Then again, hi-hat sound _is_ very, very essential when it comes to reggae drumming...

Hi Youthman Deh
I just love his drumming on Black Panta, particularly the snare drum work. Those rim shots get me everytime.
It's so aggressive.
Is he still playing?

Hi Fadel
Eventually got around to buying "This is...." and have to agree with you that it is an absolutely brilliant album. I can't believe I haven't heard it before as I have most of the early Pablo.
What a drum sound! As far as I am concerned it doesn't get any better than that.
The two tracks that have absolutely blown me away are "Point Blank" and "Arabian Rock".
Incidentally I bought it on CD and the sound is incredible.

Re: Tin Legs (Lloyd Adams)
TINLEG ADAMS is reportedly dead since some years ago.He was INNER CIRCLE 's drummer in 1974-75 when he replaced CARL BAROVIER who's gone with other CIRCLE members to form THIRD WORLD. During this time he was with Pablo's ROCKERS ALLSTARS and when JACOB MILLER went to INNER CIRCLE in 1974,he cames with Pablo and Tinleg.
After the first INNER CIRCLE tour in USA in 1975 with Toots & Dennis Brown, Tinleg decides to stay in USA where he entered the FABULOUS TITANS reggae group locally and was replaced in INNER CIRCLE by Santa briefly and after, by HORSEMOUTH WALLACE in 1975-77.
These story i try to tell her in my book,a INNER CIRCLE & JACOB MILLER's biography & discography i'm writting since 10 years (Today i try to find an editor...) and who's name is "FORWARD JAH JAH CHILDREN" from 1968 up today.
