hi everyone
I would like to know the title of the song performed
by Sheila Hylton in the Deep Roots documentary
"foolish man builds his house upon the sand ...."
& did this song appear on a Sheila Hylton LP ???

This song is titled "House On The Rock", it was released on 12" single with "Love Don't Live Here Anymore", but I don't know the details.

Didn't know she had covered 'Love don't live here'. Must find it! I love her cover of 'Breakfast in bed' it's one of my all-time fave 12 inch 45s! A great dub version of Breakfast in Bed is found on Sylvan Morris % Harry J's excellent Cultural Dub.
I seem to remember seeing her LP on ebay once but got outbid. But maybe I was dreaming...
Maybe the track you seek is also produced by Sylvan M and Harry J so searching their work may help.

The song is called ' House On The Rock ' written for the artise by Dennis Brown and was recorded in the late 70's but was never released.
Sheila Hylton has a brand new album, titled ' STEPPIN ' and this album includes a duet with Dennis Brown four months before his passing.......View album and tracks on MYSpace.com/sheilahylton

Hi Sheila Hylton, not sure if you're the actual artist, maybe yes so it's nice to hear from you.
Unfortunately you're wrong, this song had been released, I have the 12" pressing of House On The Rock and I 100% guarantee that it's the tune that we see recorded at Harry J in the Deep Roots Doc.
Sheila Hylton - House On The Rock b/w Love Don't Live Here Anymore - Carri Blu 12" (UK press, transparent vinyl).
I also saw this tune being (apparently poorly) pressed on an US Jaywax 12".
This is really a killer tune that will mash everything if played on a soundsystem with scoops !
BTW, I didn't knew that DEB wrote the tune.
