Could be that there's a diffence between the one Virgin put out on the album produced by Karl Pittson and the original Joe Gibbs production. I'm not sure but that would be my guess.

You're right, I've heard two slightly different versions of this tune couldn't tell you about the other version as I've only got the JoGibbs 7".
'Slim Ting' by Trinity is the boom tune on this riddim though
