-bump-

a snippet of the vocals appears in this dub, a female UK lovers rock voice sings 'o this beautiful land, see the children playing in the sand'
does this ring any bells at all?

no , the lyrics have nothing to do with Malcolm X. Read the description - it's a lover's rock song sung by a woman;
Anyway, as 'Babylon Destruction' was released on the Cha Cha label, I guess the tunes versioned on were also released through there. Tapir's website lists some 12" on Cha Cha by a vocalist named Sonya. Haven't heard them, but I'm suspecting it's one of those songs.
If anyone would be so kind to post an mp3 or send it to my e-mail, this would be my lucky day.

It *ISN'T* Sonia's "My Baby Of Magic" (CHAD 20A). Hopefully, that will help you cross one off your Cha Cha song list! :)
