I'm a bit surprised to discover that Tito Simon had passed away on the 20th of September this year from a heart attack in Jamaica, but no one here mentioned it. Okay, he wasn't a roots singer. And to be fair to you all, I didn't know of his passing until I listened back to my cousins radio podcast today. So Reggae music has lost another stalwart
Just in case anyone here never knew who he was, he was the other half of early reggae pioneers Sugar and Dandy (Dandy Livingstone)
His biggest hit was via the Trojan Records set up with 'This Monday Morning Feeling'

Interesting: Hopeton Lewis passed away = 1400 views on this forum, as I type this. Tito Simon = 118 views.

With all due respect to Mr Simon - RIP, god bless, jah bless - I don't think his music resisted the test of time that well.

You are totally quite right Vlad. Hopeton Lewis did make more of a impact in reggae music. So did so many others. But I for one would feel a bit better if even those who just made a tiny ripple in the huge pool of R&B, Ska and Reggae music were honoured in some way. After all, a vast majority of them hardly made any financial reward for their contribution to the music.
Mind you, many here might not have a clue who Tito Simon was in the scale of Reggae music.

He, he, just talking about Tito Simon increases his exposure. As I type this, 377 views vs previous 180 or so. Lets try to find a decent song of his. Hey, this one is pretty hot:
