anyone listened to the "unification: from channel one to king tubby's" album featuring yabby you productions? It's supposedly recorded between 1978 and 1980 and for the most part it does sound that way, but there are a couple tracks I can't believe were recorded then.

Which tracks are you thinking about? S

Some of them might be a bit later. »Righteousness« is over a cut of Bad Boy/Gunman/Take Five that I think would be best dated at '83 or '84. »Home« and »One Destiny« sound like they could be '81 to '83 as well.

It seems to me like the rhythm tracks are all authentic, but some have added pieces that make them sound newer. One destiny seems 84-85 to me and any day feels like 83-84. I really like the album though. I can't believe this didn't see a proper release prior to 2014.
