Viceroys' 'Brethren & Sistren' CD???

I downloaded the full Brethren & Sistren LP from a dubious site online. Thing is, it sounds like a cd rip as there's no noise, clicks, or crackles in the rip. It literally sounds like a good cd rip which is weird because to my knowledge Brethren & Sistren has never been released on Cd.

I'm aware of the 'We Must Unite' release on Sankofa in France. But can anyone make light of how I found such a good rip of Brethren? I really want a cd version as the download is pretty low in kbps.

maybe it's taken from vinyl & then had crackle, hiss distortion removed by computer software like 'soundforge' etc ?

I got the download many years ago from iTunes, but I have never come across a CD anywhere.
There is one song missing on the iTunes download, compared to the CSA Album entered in the Archives section: Nobody Love Nobody.

Just curious: is this song missing on your download as well?

I've seen this on itunes sans one track like you say, but the package i downloaded has all tracks.

As far as it having crackle removed, it's possible. I downloaded we must unite from the same site, and it has more tells from that kind of treatment.

If these were treated by computer software it's a top notch job, the best ive heard of these track aside from some of the singles released on trojan comps

I remember seeing that as Charly download, with kind of a generic cover of a african/bongo drum. Is that the one?

I love that record, wish someone would reissue it. Nobody ever steps up though. Also sounds like Wesley Tinglin and co never receive any money from any of there releases. Wonder if PS paid then at all or just Phil Pratt? I know PP is who they licensed from. We Must Unite is an incredible album too. Much respect to the Viceroys!
