Hopefully it won't come across the wrong way if I mention a couple we put out this year:

Black Symbol "Black Symbol" and Various Artists "The Midlands Roots Explosion Volume One", I'd say they are the best we've put out this year and they both stand up against anything from other labels.

I agree Martin. The Black Symbol 2lp was one of my favorites of the year. Super heavy album.

I made a mix with a few of the tracks for a friend of mine that is a big UK roots fan, and he said he hadn't even finished the 1st track before he needed to order a copy for himself.

It's projects like that that make all the hard work worthwhile, the music really deserved to be available and to reach a wider audience the good news is that there's a strong possibility of more original Black Symbol tapes surfacing, I really ought to think about doing a 12" or two as well.

PS Symbol's last CD "Journey" is well worth checking out as well as a modern Roots release.
