What's happened to the Mighty Diamonds?

Tabby gone?....Sure, the live shows became repetitive, but without lead vocalist Donald Shaw, it's mighty no more.
The guy with the red pants. With all due respect: Is that a farce?.....
How low will reggae go....In the 90's I missed the 80's, now I miss the 90's, even the 00's. Ha!!!!!!!! Roberto Sanchez to the rescue!

To be honest, I expected something way more horrible when I clicked on the links. Still better than most of the new school artists if you ask me. But yeah sure you got a point there. Red Pants Guy is just having fun, but yes he looks funny when he does this "dancing".
By the way... the first link "Party Time" is it a Dennis Brown original? Or was his tune on the Wolfs and Leopards LP a cover version?

The Mighty Diamonds, with Tabby as lead vocal, did a cover of the Heptones' Party Time on their Gussie Clarke produced CHANGES LP.

The "guy with red pants" is Ken Bob, a more than decent singer imho. But of course, without Tabby's lead vocal, this doesn't sound anything like the Diamonds to my ears.

Ken Bob who cut In Danger? Love that rhythm (only know of Roy Cousins cut with Charlie Chaplin and Don Carlos). Cool to see he's still active.

Yes Kalcidis, the same Ken Bob. He's still quite active in Jamaica, I've seen him live there a couple times. He lives in Spanish Town, but is often at Chinna's yard.

First video is not so bad, and its much better than what I saw some years ago without Ken Bob (only Judge & Bunny)
But yes, no Tabby, no MD.

(...by the way, it appears we still don't know what happened to the Mighty Diamonds...I pity the new generations who see a poster and spend time and money to see this mascarade. Most likely not written anywhere the lead singer, the group's voice, isn't part of the show...Live reggae has become mostly a disaster, few exceptions aside, like Clinton Fearon when touring with his band - recommended)
