where can i find cds of bankie banx music ? is his music reggae ?
bankie banx comes from st martin, it's not jamaican reggae, he has some folk influences but it's a nice mix. If you can find it (never released in cd but the vynil can be found, at least an old one) check "bankie banx roots and herbs" 1977, really fine and original. Good voice, but the sound is not jamaican roots classic. "Soothe your soul", recorded early 80 has some fine tunes but not a great album.
And today, I don't really know.
