Desert Island Disks

Some of you may know this long running radio program where you must imagine you are stranded on a desert island.

The show allows you to choose 8 (I think) records to take with you. The show then plays clips or tracks from the disks in between a sort of interview format.

Sadly, most subjects tend to choose a bunch of classical stuff.

But what would your choice be? (in this case reggae only please)

Me? I don't think I could spend the rest of my life with just 8 LPs so I would have to start swimming pretty soon or build a raft!

"But what would your choice be? (in this case reggae only please)"

Here is my 8 (I will cheat by including only LPs)

Leggo Dub - Revolutionaries
Scientist Meets The Space Invaders - Scientist
Sufferers Choice - Sugar Minott
Good Thing Going - Sugar Minott
Kaya - Bob Marley
Private Beach Party - Gregory Isaacs (very apt)

Duke Reid - Here Comes the Duke
Lee Perry - Heart of the Ark vol one
Lee Perry - Black Ark in Dub
Intensified (various) vol one/two
(ok I know mine are seperate, but I'm sure there is a double album version out there!)
Delroy Wilson - Original 12 (studio one)
Scientist Wins the World Cup
Original Rockers - Augustus Pablo
Mighty Dub - MightyZ :)

Sorry to cheat with albums, but if leggo rocker can :)
PS I couldn't survive with just these - but could you make a raft with just 8 disks?

MightyZ

According to the rules of the original show, you are allowed to take one luxury, so that could be your studio set up. You'd have plenty of time to remake Mighty Dub, so why not pick another tune...

My luxury would be motorcycle and 200,000 gallons of gasoline :)
