Hi

I've just bought a reissue of this album. Is there someone out there with an original pressing of this album and is willing to answer a couple of questions regarding this album?

Thanks.

I sold my orginal pressing album.

The sound mastering was not well.

Hi Lion

On my reissue the cover track listing is;
Vision Of Africa
My Brethren
Jah Light
Happiness
Fly Your Dread
Jamaica Peace Treaty
Easy Niah Man
Ethiopia
Babylon Queendom
Queendom Fall

The label listing is and this is what is actually is on album (off the top of my head);
My Brethren
Easy Niah Man
Happiness
Babylon Queendom
Vision Of Africa

Jah Light
Ethiopia
Fly Your Dread
Fly Your Dread Version

Was this the case on the original album? I assume not looking at the label on the Roots Archive entry.
If not where has the "Fly Your Dread Version" appeared from? Also where has "Jamaican Peace.." disappeared to?
Presumably "Queendom Fall" is the dub cut to "Babylon Queendom" or was it a mistitled "Fly Your Dread Version".

Questions, questions.

Not that it is a big issue because "Fly Your Dread" is without a doubt THE track on the album and to have the dub cut is as far as I am concerned a "right touch"!

Thanks for any input!

The org.album has dub versions.!!
(Showcase album!!)
It's more than 6 years ago that play the album.
I sell it 2/3 years ago for good money.
Before the reissue.

Hi Lion

Showcase? Really? Is this not the original here? Errol Holt - Vision Of Africa - http://www.roots-archives.com/release/828

Thank you that link. Fantastic!!! I was a massive Errol fan without realising it as I bought "Message From The King" when it came out.

I only found out it was his vocal on a couple of tracks when I bought Silver & Gold!

I had the original way back. I now have the repress.

And the mastering - particularly lead vocals - is a bit harsh on the repress as I seem to remember it was on the original, with his voice not getting the best of treatments from the 'desk.

The cover is a straight reprint.

I may be wrong, but I reckon they are the same tracks - but you've got me wondering now....

Hi Leggo Rocker

Maybe a stupid question, but is it the Original Music repress?
Presumably, this is a repress from a vinyl source as opposed to master tapes. Apologies for these questions, but having not bought reggae vinyl for 20 odd years I am trying to get my head around reissues and represses. It's all a little alien to me.
The sound isn't brilliant although it is on "Fly Your Dread" and "Fly Your Dread Version".
I would have bought the album for these 2 tracks. Awesome.
