Hi

What are the best versions of Living Dub 1 & 2.

I have seen them on both Heartbeat amd Burning Spear label.

I have been told that the Heartbeat re-issues are 1990`s remixes of the original Living Dub 1 & 2 which were initially releases on the Burning Spear label.

Roots Archives only show the Heartbeat re-issues.

What are the better mixes to buy.

There can only be one answer - The Burning Spear mixes, unless of course you want something other than the Jamaican roots original.

For me LIVING DUB 1 is ONLY acceptable in the mix issued on the PRE label. Definitely the BEST version - according to mix AND sound quality. LIVING DUB 2 is only acceptable in the first pressed version on the Burning Spear label. LISTEN!

Guess that means avoid the Heartbeatre-issues and look for the original bud issues.
