Help needed to find Reggae artist

Hi all,
this question might be somewhat annoying,
i am looking for the name of a reggae artist, and i don't know the name of any of his songs ... (i had an album, but can't find it anymore ...)
- great singer (male)
- with great band, with horns, and a sax i think
- on some tracks, the singer picks up on the last note of the saxophone (or other horn), and continues from there
(this is one of the things that stood out for me, as i haven't heard that very often ...)
- from memory, i would say golden age reggae (60's, 70's), and moslty lovers reggae
- from my knowledge not one of the most famous reggae artists of all time (had been listening to reggae for some time, and was surptised i didn't know his music before)
any help would be apreciated (wish i had more to go by ...) !!!
