Junior Delahaye
I'm trying to track down a song by junior delahaye that came out 1984-85 called You're As Right As Rain. I thought it was on Wackies out of the US. I know he recorded extensively for the label, and I've spent the best part of today checking the labels output on the web, but no mention of this song. It did exist, David Rodigan used to play it loads on his BFBS reggae show for the armed forces. Anyone out there with any clues?

Re: Junior Delahaye
I remember listening to Rodigan's Rokers on BFBS in those days very well and I was recording mostly every sunday morning show. I am very sure that there was no Junior Delahaye tune like you mention it, BUT ...
Rodigan played 'Dancing in the Rain' by the Chosen Brothers quite often. Junior Delahaye sings harmony on that one along with Lloyd Barnes and Wayne Jarrett.
Greetings.

Well, I was a regular listener & I've got two tapes where Rodi states that it's Junior Delahaye, but as you'll know from his shows, he can get tongue tied and confused. I'll try checking out your answer, thanks.

I dug out one of the tapes from way back when! He definately states that its Junior Delahaye. He definately says on that show that it had a US release. Maybe it came out on a small independant label smaller than Wackies , VP , Heartbeat etc, and why I can't find any reference to it. Thanks for your help, and I'll keep on searching, it may surface on e-bay or somewhere!

You are right. I have a tape with Rodi on his lights out selections and that song, he said, was you're as right as rain" by Junior Delahaye. Beatiful song. I would love to have that track.

Re: Junior Delahaye
I have spent hours on the web trying to verify that Junior Delahaye cut this tune. No reference whatsoever, but I've nuff Rodigan tapes that says that it's him. In a similar vein, I was at my cousins blues in the 90's and he played a Luciano tune on Xterminater (I know , because I saw the label and on a Chris Goldfinger interview with him, though the song wasn't named) and the chorus went 'Is There A Place In Your Heart For Me' Can I find any tune with that reference in his or Xterminater records discography?

Would love to hear it. He sounds very much like Junior English on some tracks including another Sun Force Posse 12" titled "Love's got a Hold on Me".
