It’s a good idea but I’m afraid it would be time consuming to get infos for most of the artists ?
I have to see if I can extract info directly from Wikipedia or discogs

I'm guessing it couldn't be done using RA members input? I got a self written booklet of artist birth & death dates.............

Hey Seb,

it would be a couple of hundred.....it's in alphabetical order using first names....just to give you an idea of numbers , the 'B"'s have about 24 names, as does the 'D' section & 'R' section......

One issue with Discogs API is that there is a limitation of 60 calls per minute and there is no premium API to get more quota.

There is a database dump though that can be downloaded from Discogs and in that way avoid the APIs quota limit.

You could potentially use discogs API for your source data but display the results in a much more meaningful way than discogs is the key.

Detailed artist bio's would be nice to see too as discogs info is limited and a bit messy and often lacking photos for many singers.

The Forum i hope gathers momentum again, alot of people including myself have moved away from the big social media platforms due to the tracking and privacy issues associated with using them so seeing RA forum back gives people an good alternative, hoping it takes off again.
