Hi there,
since (believe it or not) the eightees I am looking for a record or mp3 nowadays of what is probably (what I think they said in those days) a song by Maxi Priest (love in the ghetty (or ghetto)), but that's the point: I'm not
sure. I can upload a small sample of that song, but who can help me, where can I send it to ? also since the 80s'looking for a record / mp3 or similar from the revolutionaires called natty dub in a dreamland (so not from anyone else than their version) Can anyone enlighten me !? Would be very much appreciated !!

Hi there Solrac,

thanks a lot for your reply. Very nice to get help from you.

I am for sure gonna check out that website on the Revolutionaries !
As for the "Maxi" sample do I upload that to that to: dreadrecords@sapo.pt ?? It will be about 10 seconds of mp3, so not a huge file :-))

By the way, where are you from ?
I am from a rainy Belgium.
Greetings,

Peter

Hi Carlos,
I will have to convert it from tape to my computer and that didn't work yet. Not as easy as I thought.
I can not do so until in this week-end, but then I will gladly send it to the address you specified.
Thanks man !

The Maxi tune is "Love in the Ghetto" and appeared on a Level Vibes 12" in about 1984. The record is split with Papa Levi, who does "In a mi Yard" on the same riddim. The other side of the record is Maxi doing "Sensimiella" followed by Papa Levi doing "Mi God Mi King".

Hi John,

thanks very much for your message !
Now all I still have to do is find an mp3 or something like that somewhere out there. (I have already tried that for some time, but no luck yet). Maybe I can find it under papa levi.

peter
