From Spain i like so much Basque Dub Foundation, Loud & Lone.. they are very good

CaƱaman are good too (different style)but i dont like them equal, there are more groups in spain like Jah'sta, Jah Macetas... many more have recorded something in JA. In spain there is too much dancehall inside the scene (and a lot of times ever the same), but likewise reggae movement is growing day to day here

Try Roberto Sanchez from spain... he recorded a full analog 10" last year called "don't use me", with rod taylor on the flip... just MASHING UP vibes... total KILLER one...

Blessings,

Best UK homegrown talent maybe is Aswad. Or was.

(not sure they are all UK born but I think they were considered a UK band, right?)

But their material is sometimes very very good, other times, not so good.

Very good live though!

Of course, Steel Pulse!

Before I had given reggae a chance (I was a biker-rocker-punk into thrashy guitar sound) I remember seeing them on Old Grey Whistle test on UK television and thinking:

"Hey, this reggae thing sounds pretty cool"

Just a few days later, I heard Leggo Dub for the first time. The rest is history and the reason I am on this forum today.

try PierPolJak. He was the first to sing reggae in french. Tiken Jah fakoly is very popular in france too. He's from ivory coast and sings in french. How about "gentlemen and the far east band" or "patrice" from germany (they sing in english though) . Steel pulse and aswad from england. We also listen to lots of dub here in europe. Just ask if you wanna know more
