Hey everyone

I got this tune called "inner city blues" performed by Max, the version is called "august" performed by Augustus Pablo (the label is lms).

I read somewhere that the vocalist Max was actually Augustus Pablo himself, does someone know something more about this ?

Bless

Marcus Reid aka Max

Revived on LMS 7"
(A) Inner City Blues - Max
(B) August - Augustus Pablo
Producers: Marcus Reid & David Madden

Originally on Soul Fire Records 7" with producers credit going to Marcus Reid only
(A) Poor Man Cry - Marcus Reid
(B) Soul On Fire - Marcus All Stars
*(no Augustus Pablo credit on the original pressing)*

Apparently the track is based on jazzman Nat Adderley's 'Work Song'

no, the vocalist is not augustus pablo.
the voice of pablo appears nonetheless on the Version. it's he who stops the music and say : yes man, this music ah Irie...
produced by David Madden.
