hold of death by scratch perry .can anyone tell me what record this is on? all i can find it on is a movie soundtrack and a bogus scratch perry compilation. was this ever released on record or 45? better yet an album?

yeah i used to own it on lp dunno what label, in 1994..why do you call the great cd of it bogus by the way?i know rhino are fakes but good sounds too

This tune was on LP called Blood Vapour, which was a supposedly fake Perry LP, so not sure if it is a perry track,but wicked album well worth picking up, i think i heard jammy was responsible for alot on the blood vapour album but not sure how true this is. I'm wondering if hold of death may be on a dub compilation cd i have aswell, i forget the name of it now, crucial dub maybe?

Most tracks on 'blood vapour' are originally from king Tubby.
There's also another album with the track hold of death, the album is called hold of death ( 1993) Don't know the label.
The album is similar to blood vapour, but contains some extra 'bogus' tracks.
