How deep? Not more than I have the first Lp on vinyl, liked it for years, its not everybody's cup of tea but I still feel a lot for that record, and I have several of his Jahmani label albums as well. Especially the Inside Out (I think it was?) was particularly good from around 1990. But he's a bit inconsistent, too many lacklustre releases over the past 13 years

"Miss Beverly" definetly puts Mr. Ijaman on top. It's one of my favorite and its a true Lovers Roots cut. I havent heard all his Albums yet but the one I have heard were nice except that they only have 4 songs.

Respect Ijahman Levi, "Live up Rastaman"

The first three albums 'Haile I Hymn','Are we a Warrior' and 'Tell it to the Cildren' imo stand out as classics. I do really like though the lovers sound of 'Lily of my Valley', sweet !
There is a mighty compilation that came in 1988 'Ijahman & Friends', a six-track showcase album which amongst five others features one great Black Uhuru track not found anywhere else.

The Black Uhuru track is 'Let him go' (not the Bunny Wailer track) and it features Michael Rose on lead.

I have been trying to find his website but have had no luck. Has he released anything lately? I love the Island releases. They send the blues away.

He did release something lately but forgotten what it was, I don't check for much of it actually. The original Jah Heavy Load recording was put out on a limited edition 12" through Basic Channel/Jahmani about two years ago, this was cut in the UK for the late Dennis Harris' DIP label in 1976, two years before the Island LP version was recorded, so check for that one
