Imo one of the best releases last year was the congos album named "Fisherman Style" pon BLOOD & FIRE, a double set LP full of new remakes of their old classic "Row Fisherman"....

Names like Big Youth, Max Romeo, Prince Jazzbo, Horace Andy, Michael Rose, Gregory Isaacs, among many others makes this one-riddim album a great surprise to me... The interesting part is that B&F separated the "old-school" artist in the first 2 sides, and then put together the new names oh the second vinyl (sides 3 & 4)... a great album imo.

There's many other one-riddim releases like "Shank-I-Sheck" or "Tree of Satta"... I don't know if that's the type of recording u looking for, but those are great!

Blessings,

Hi

This may be what you are looking for - Dub Specialist - "17 Dub Shots From Studio 1" - http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2341

All classic Studio 1 riddims. The track listing and title are a bit misleading as they are instrumentals.
