Record Authenticity

Does anyone know if a record authenticity guide for reggae exists? I have a lot of old records and would be curious to know if they were all re-releases or if maybe even some original copies were hiding in the stacks. If someone could even refer me to a site that displays photos of many original vinyl releases, that would be a great help as well. Thanks you my friends.

For 7" and 12" releases I would recommend the 'Roots Knotty Roots' database. You will find it under
www.nghthwk.com/rkr/ .
BUT STILL there will be no 100% proof if the record in your collection is 'the original'. As we all know there have been so many records re-released under the same matrix-no. like the first release waybackwhen.
For albums it's quite the same if we're talking about JA-releases. Records that came out in England, Europe or the States can be identified through cover and matrix, but the very few discographies that came out in the past are almost all out of print and very hard to find.
Best way to identify these records is by showing them to and talk about them with other collectors.
