I have just bought a copy of this classic record, and its blown me away. An Auralux re-issue with sleeve notes by David Katz, if you have not heard this record (i hadn't), you must. It is an absolute gem, Essential. These sort of records do not surface that often, and Auralux have got this one very right with supreme sound quality.

Love brothers :D

Even better is the "Black Slavery Days" album. Also recently re-issued.

i have hi fi showcase, not so crazy for me... The first song by Ken Boothe is verry kool, but the 3 others are hum... "gentles" for me, be care, i dont say that this are bad songs! But they are "kool/happy" songs and i like really less in the roots, sufferer for eva!
(but black slavery days compilation rhaaaaaa,YES!)

I just hope for the entire Clappers-catalogue to be reissued. We've got the Jr. Dan-album (a real killer!), the Jack Ruby-showcase and the Black Slavery Days-album.

No we only wan't the albums by Yabby U, Jah Malla, Juvenile Delinquents, Ike-Chama, General Plough and Nicodemus.

Some of the selections on the Fam's album is included I believe on his Heartbeat compilation, Cobra Style. The Yabby U comp. was illegal, a pirate, so unlikely to come through a Clappers connection, but you never know. Don't know the prod. for the rest of them, I would believe the Jah Malla has a low interest of those...
