He sang a tune called Nancy goes to Moscow, aka America and Russia social securety system, in the early eighties. Does anyone have any info about him.

First of all, yes , this is THE Ranking Roger of The Beat, remember 'Stand down Margaret', 'Mirror in the Bathroom', ' Hand's off she's Mine' etc. The group that gave dancemusic back to the charts back at the end of the 70s/beginning of the 80s.
He teamed with a guy called Pato for their last album 'Special Beat Service' and this man became Pato Banton in his own right and fame.
After The Beat quit, Ranking Roger appeared in General Public, a 'counterpart' to the Fine Young Cannibals popgroup, also out of the remnanta of The Beat. What's Roger doing today ?
