I have heard morgan hertage sing about meskal square ,what does it mean and what has it got to do with rasta.respec!

Meskel Square is the biggest square of Addis Ababa.
"Meskel", "meskal" or "mesqel" means a cross in old ethiopian ge'ez language.

meskel indeed means cross; I suppose Morgan Heritage refers to Meskel Square because it is the biggest square in Addis Ababa where all bbig exhibitions happen, among others the huge Marley annniversary concert in which M.H. played a set one or 2 years ago.
For any of those questions you can use the topic I started about gueez-amharic translations or ethiopa tradition an reality.

In the song they are specifically referring to a yearly gathering in Mescal Square celebrating the finding of the true cross based on a vision seen by Helena, the Mother of Roman emperor Constantine the Great.
