I am a real big club hopper and love to dance that whets wrong with hip hop people just don’t have fun any more. Too many fights so I started to going to Reggie ton clubs. One of my co workers at UMGD took me to one and after that was hooked. One of my favorites was Ivy Queen. She made dance music but at the same time she had hard core lyrics you can see what I am talking about here.

You can't beat skanking the night away to reggae, rocksteady or ska. There's simply nothing to touch it.

In the late 70s early 80s I used to go to small reggae blues dances every week, usually held in little church halls in Bristol, UK.
Myself and my bunch of friends, usually about 5 or 6 of us, would be the only white faces in the dance (bar the few blonde 'ladys of the night' who used to hang around them!!).
It was quite intimidating in a way, and the local massive raely taked to us, except to sell us weed.
But once the dance get hot and we were skanking to the riddims, we didn't care, and it seemed, neither did they!
Like bredder Ranking trevor, I miss those times so much.
