I 've received from a freind of mine an audio tape with some reggae stuff including Prince Far I , Bim Sherman...
The tape have no cover neither any inscription on.
The unknown song there is a song by a lady. lyrics goes almost like this :" I and I go a africa (x2) because the war is over (x2) no more killing and shooting, africa is a land of love, we nuh need no any boxing loves (x2) I and I go a africa.
The track is about 11mn55 and the rythm about 63 bpm. the taste is almost roots with some toast :" open the gate and let we repatriate, one step forward...." ( the dj toaster is also unknown for me

The record is made ( I think) between 1977 and 1980.
Thank for your precious help. I am in love with this song

I had a mix tape passed on to me a long while back, and ive still got some of those tunes in my head..on one in particular the vocals on the chorus kinda went like this;
the rainbow..in the sky--y
there goes the rainbow...i love you so
there goes the rainbow...
hmmm, i know its not much. sounded studio one with a beautiful-possibly jackie mittoo-hammond....

Could be........
"Rainbow" by Wentworth Vernal & The New Establishment (Studio 1)

Most probably the Wentworth Vernal track.
Done by the Roots Radics as well, on their "Freelance" album, though I prefer the Studio One track.
