Sure he is the same ! Definetely !
No ther recordings for the Wackies label ever came out. They actually never were on Wackies. Both songs appeared on the early 'Rawsa' and 'Senrab' labels as 7" produced by Lloyd Barnes in 1976.

Hey, fine you're on !
No, these two tunes are the only ones I know he recorded as Jah Carlos. Shortly after that he joined the Black Uhro, than left to become the Don Carlos of early Dancehall fame as we know him.
Greetings.

Yeah in the early 70's he was a part of the legendery black uhuru (with garth dennis and derrick "duckie" simpson) band. He just recorded one song and left the group to start a solo career. Some of his best recordings were made in the channel one and tuff gong studios, with the roots radics band, sly & robbie and many more. After that period he returned in 1989 to black uhuru (with the original members). The first album they did was "Now". My favourite Albums with Black Uhuru are "Mystical Truth" (1992) and Now(1989). But I still believe that his best material he recorded was in the early 80's like "Harvest Time" (my favourite one), Ghetto Living, Day To Day Living, Just A Passing Glance. After he left the group in 1994 he recorded his album "Seven Days A Week" in 1997. It is a really great album. And now you can hear him on the Groundation albums.

What a beautiful voice. You have to listen to his words. I just heard of him as he started working with groundation. But i think it's time to start collect these wonderful tunes. Big Up Rastafari
