half of the love joys has recorded again first sample listens dont sound as heavy as the early stuff

The music at that link, it sounds like pop reggae!
I will stick to the Love Joys from the Wackies era for now...

I like the jazzy new sound they have, but yeah, it isn't half as good as the Wackies stuff.

speaking of old wackies stars, whatever happened to Fabian Cooke? Great drummer, sang some great songs with Itopia band.
