i'm looking to score this on vinyl. i couldn't remember if this has been repressed. i know the cd is readily available. ive seen it on gemm and ebay for well over 40 bucks. even 200 for a new copy.
is this considered a tough score? should i expect to drop something upwards of 50 bucks? thanks in advance

Ites mn418,
I have a repress of this, and a few of my local record shops have the repress as well. It should not be too difficult to score, but let me know if you're having difficulty and I can name some of my sources. It's usually about $10-11 where I am.
Killer record though!! 'Give I Fe I Name' is one of my favorites!
Roots,

Dont buy I Love I bring, the 78 repress, you can get it cheap... but the pressing is bad. The CD version is really good, as well as the original...
dont know about the repress Jah Chicken talks about.

There are several different pressings of this LP.
I thought there was a very good thread on this point somewhere but I can't find it. Nor can I find the really good discography that covers the various issues of this LP.
I'll carry on googling in hope of finding it.

If you just want the one tune, I suggest you seek it out on a Disco 12 inch (if ever done) as this is the BEST way to get indvidual tunes because you get versions, and sometimes DJ versions.
Plus the sound is usually better provided the record is in nice condition. This is because the format allows more space for the grooves than on LPs and 7s which are more 'crowded'.
Please excuse me if you know all this stuff already, I don't mean to talk down to you or anything!
I am afraid I have no idea if this song is on 12 inch though.

ive researched into it pretty hard. i can't say definately because of the conditions stuff was pressed in at that time but im pretty sure there wasn't a single release of it in any form.

It's not one I have ever seen on ebay.
And I've probably looked at 75% of what's gone through ebay in the last 2 years!
I wasted my youth with (soft) drugs, motorcycles and women.
Now it seems I am wasting my middle age on hunting for records on ebay...

You will find no record of dis album on 12", unfortunately... The first 12" of Moses was Dubbin is a must, for his next album...
Buts most chunes were pressed as 7" singles: Grasshopper, Blood Dunza, Give I fi I name, We shoud live in Angola...
Well a bit off topic, but what's the meaning of the Give I fi I name lyrics? Is pablo moses rejectig the name he was given by englishes, or is it about Tafari?
Thanks
