Reggae artists signed to major labels

I was reading in the JA Observer about reggae singer "Ginjah", who signed an international distribution deal with label Sony BMG and that led me to think...

Which artists have been signed with major (not-reggae related) labels throughout reggae history?

To many.
Tony Rebel/Steel Pluse/Cobra etc

And those "major labels" forget the grass roots distrubution network to spread the sound around the world.

That is why at Atlantic rec deals with VP rec and its working.
