the folkways are a large project done by the Smithsonian institute in the US, i think it's there anthropology department who deals with them recordings, but they have made loads of albums all by indigenous tribes and things like that, they done some great rasta stuff, a very nice one is bongo, Backra+Coolie, very nice album if u into that tribal Nyahbinghi drumming.
I do have a list of all the folkways albums somewhere, they have a website where they sell them all. Will try and look it up.
The Maroons album u mention will feature maroons from JA, i've not heard this LP tho, they did have sound clips on that website if i remeber rightly. in 1989 the smithsonian helped bring over a group of rasta elders(including ras pidow) to the smithsonian folk festival to help promote Rastafari+it's culture.
