Ites. Big Youth started his life in extreme poverty. He worked at the Sheraton in Kingston i think. Possibly a cab driver also. He was the first artist to openly sport his 'Locks' on the cover of his LP Screaming Target. Truly an innovator, he was a DJ that dealt with Spreading Jah and Love for all. You can get details of his records from this site. As for Higher, the only way to find info on this elder would probably be to seek the man out. Its hard enough to find text on the web about some of the more famous Jamaicans, let alone the rest. Maybe try sending an e-mail to someone like Perry Henzell etc.
