Time ago i got a nice 7'' from ebay

It was described as " Olive Grant - Children Of The Ghetto " on One Way Label...the label is a Pre-Release so there is nothing write on it

Who is Olive Grant ? I find the same song on Dc++ and it's call Senya - Children Of The Ghetto

Listening to the record i think that this voice is the same of Ta-Teasha Love...."Oh Jah Come Now" or "Roots Man"

So Olive Grant is Ta Teasha Love??

Why i find Senya?

Is there other tune of her?

P.s. excuse for my bad english...i'm doing my best

There are a few more chunes unlisted on the website that she released (also as "Senna") but the main being children of the ghetto (the first version is one of my top killer, Family Man gave her one of his tuffest bassline!!), natural woman, oh jah come, roots man.
Natural woman exist as 12"...
You can find a showcase with Sonia Higgs including both chunes and dub called "Juvenile Deliquant": http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2 ... ight=28124

Looking on the net i find that there is a 12'' on blue mountain

Blue Mountain BMD 019 B - Senya - Trying Woman

Nice one too

Oh, its the one on ONE WAY (rereleased on IMPACT), dont worry! The next single (the 7" at least) is on FAM'S. Its the second cut and the riddim is really weaker, imo...
The 12" is from dis 2nd version.

Yesterday i found a different cut on the clappers LP (Familyman & Various-Juvenile delinquent)...i think the same of the Fam's 12''!As you say the 12'' is weaker,it's nice too but i prefer the 7''

I've got the Clappers LP and think Senya is fantastic on it. I don't remember the mix on the 7" but I think I thought at the time that the LP-mix was the better one. Can't say if I stand by this opinion today though.

On the site http://senhiya.50megs.com/ it says:

Available in England is a compilation by Iron Water Productions feat.
“Are You For Real?”, “Lonely Nights” and “One More Chance” produced by Carlton Hibbert

Does anyone have info about this compilation?
