I'm wondering if there are any acknowledged classic live shows by Bob that haven't been released on CD. I know there are a lot of tapes out there, and wondering which shows are the best/worth seeking out. Any opinions welcome!

there are hundreds of unreleased LIVE shows that exist only on bootlegs.

type "bob marley trade bootleg" on google and youll find dozen of lists...

Even a lot of studio material unreleased is available.

I would suggest you... Leeds Polytecnic 73, Matrix 73, The boarding house 76, Portland 79 (ruff voice!) and Pittsburgh 80 (last concert).

the most interesting imo, are the rehearsals 78 and 80 at Tuff Gong studio... far better than the LIVE show that sound repetitives and with same song list.

the series of concerts that he playd at the beacon theater on the 76 tour are worth a try,as are the 75 unreleased concerts to,mainly the roxy shows,in july 75,nassau bahamas december 79,the wonder dream concert too on december 1975 at kingston stadium

Thanks everyone. Clearly I'm aware of all of those shows out there on boots, am really interested in weeding through to capture the ones that really stand out. For instance most of the shows on any given tour have near identical setlists and things like particular inspiration on any given night (and recording quality) could make the difference vs collecting all of these. Thanks!

Amandla 79 is a must have. A very inspired performance. Lenox 78 is also interesting for it's unusual set list.
