everyone should check out this compilation if you haven't, I got it today and it comes with my highest recommendations
ps. although the page says it's only on trojan cd, there is definitely a vinyl version on earmark records which is a great quality pressing

If you like dat you should check out the "Trojan Roots Reggae Boxset". It shares alot of tracks with the album you mentioned.

Good call, that really is a wicked set. Trojan has taken a lot of heat over the years for recycling the same old stuff but I think props are due for what they have done in the past 5 years. Lots of wicked vinyl (singles), plus many of those CD comps and artist anthologies are excellent. The artwork, liner notes, etc...all very nice. And, the prices are awesome. Big up to Trojan (Sanctuary) for making it happen.

Yeah Trojan has made really good work during the past few years by putting out wonderful series of original albums with lots of bonus tracks and original artwork plus some kick ass compilations, like the above mentioned and this Haul and pull up selecta too!

...it's just a shame that Trojan (now Sanctuary) have such a poor track record for actually paying the artists who made much of the work they released!

I have been re-reading the "Bass Culture" book and if the facts in that book are true then just about every producer / label owner from Ska-Rocksteady-Roots-DJ-Dancehall had a poor track record for coughing up due royalties.
Guess it was all part of the game.

Oh yes, nothing new in music, let alone reggae.
Trojan were just better organised pirates! Or so I have heard...
