Presure sound album is a killer.
All there classic song are on this album.
Slim Smith,Jimmy Riley & Lloyd Charmers lead you the way in there Uniques style.
Without the Uniques & Slim Smith a reggae collection is not compleet.

Lion is right the sleevenotes on 'watch this sound' are brilliant. in the following i just collected three other sleevenotes for little information:
The Uniques were formed in early 1966, when Slim Smith, Roy Shirley, and Franklyn White recorded a few songs for producers Carl "Sir J.J." Johnson and Ken Lack, including "Evil Love (Is No Good)," and "Journey." Shortly afterwards the trio broke up to pursue solo careers. In 1967 the second generation of the Uniques was founded with the assistance of Bunny Lee, who recorded the group's debut record, "Let Me Go Girl." The vocal line-up for that song consisted of Slim Smith, Roy Shirley, Lloyd Charmers, B.B.Seaton, Derrick Morgan, and Ken Boothe, The Uniques continued to record in the following months, with occasional changes in personnel. Notable songs to mention here are "People Rocksteady," "Trying To Find A Home," "Hooray," and "Never Let Me Go." The three Uniques' tracks on this lp are from 1968: 'Facts Of Life" featuring Slim Smith and Roy Shirley on lead vocals; "Gypsy Woman" originally a hit in 1961 for the Impressions and "Lessons Of Love" (a.k.a. "Story Of Love" and "Can't Do Without It"), carrying the vocal harmonies of Slim Smith, Jimmy Riley, Roy Shirley, and Lloyd Charmers.

In 1967 Slim Smith suspended his solo career to team up with Jimmy Riley and Lloyd "Charmers" Tyrell for the second formation of the Uniques. The group recorded for Bunny Lee, who quickly spotted the lead vocal talents of Slim Smith. In late 1968 Slim Smith went solo again - Pat Kelly replaced him in the Uniques.

The Uniques' "People Rocksteady" was cut at the same 1967 recording session a that produced "I Remember," "Silent Lover," and "Trying To Find A Home." It was the first song the Uniques did for Bunny Lee, and features Slim Smith on lead- and Ken Boothe, Glen Adams, and Derrick Morgan on backing vocals. The same vocal lineup performs on "Trying To Find A Home" (the second take of which is presented here)l the rhythm track was later used for Glen Adams' "Grab A Girl. "The group's personnel fluctuated in the 70's, singers Cornell Campbell, Jimmy Riley, and Noel Sims are all one-time members. Sporadic album releases included Showcase Volume One (Third World, produced by Bunny Lee) and Give Thanks (Plant, prod. Ossie Hibbert).
