I'm looking ofr a track I heard in about 1983 on a compliation album. i've got a feeling "Rub a Dub" either was the title or was included in the title.

The lyrics I can remember are

"Rub a dub
Rub a dub yeah
When I was a youth my mama bathed me in a tub
Now I am a man I just a love rub a dub"

It was a singer rather than a DJ.

Any help in locating this track would be very much appreciated!

It's Ranking Dread and the song is called Love-A-Dub. Fantastic song.

The song isn't featured on that collection though. But if you don't have a problem with waiting a month more or so Greensleeves will release a collection of all Ranking Dreads releases on the label.
