Blasted is quite unequal to my opinion with a few nice songs, but the whole live album is very good, massive bassline on the first song. The singer has the same kind of voice as the lead in Third World. You should get it.

Like Third World, Inner Circle, and Wailers, Chalice was one of the best yard reggae bands of the 80s. Chalice's lineup consisted of Alla (keyboards, vocals), Desi Jones (drums), Mikey Wallace (keyboards, vocals), Wayne Armond (guitar, vocals), Papa Keith Frances (bass), and Trevor Roper (guitar, vocals). They were a hot live act whose studio recordings often lacked the same intensity and failed to convey their infectious entertaining skills. "Blasted (81)" was their first. This self-produced album is considered by many to be their best. Never made it big overseas due to their pioneering work with synthesizers although they slay when performing live - they could never capture that essence (live) for a studio album. With Lead vocals by Trevor and Wayne they did justice to their self-penned songs and was a favorite at Sunsplash for many memorable performances

I agree with Benjamin for Blasted, but the best Chalice album is the sunsplash, killer first part!
After Blasted all Chalice's albums are digitals but the second album "good to be there" is acceptable.
Great band in live but the "live at the grugahalle"(germany) is deceiving for me, bad sound and harmony...
