Hi y'all, just have to add some info on the clash thread to be read here:
http://www.roots-archives.com/forum/read.php?2,243

The Clash made following reggae covers:
1. Police and Thives - Junior Murvin (Upsetter / Island)
2. Pressure Drop - Toots and the Maytals (Beverley's)
3. Armagedeon Time - Willie Williams (Studio 1/coxsone)
4. Wrong emboyo - The Rulers (Sir J.J.)
5. Revolution Rock - Danny Ray (Black Jack / Robot)
(D. Ray verisioned and added new lyrics to Jackie Edwards - Get Up (High Note))

Junco Partner is a cover of New Orleans pianist James Booker (Hannibal CD).
They made a lot of punks, and other music lovers, interested in reggae!
Maybe there should be a "borderline reggae" selection/archive...?? :-)

Mikey Dread produced a bunch of stuff for them. Mikey Dreads "rockers galore" was a b side to the clashs 7" "bank robber". Both are the same rhythm.

The clash - guns of brixton ( reggaeish )
the clash - one more time ( reggaeish )
the clash - the crooked beat ( reggaeish ? )

A lot of later Clash is heavily inspired by reggae, listen to Sandinista - there's a lot of it on that, "Combat Rock" has 'Ghetto Defendant.
