Blood and Fire or Roots Archives?

Greetings -
Saw that the BaF board is back online. I have searched the BaF board but have never posted. I noticed some people on BaF that I know from RA, but there are many people that never post on RA. What is the difference between the two forums? I think that RA is more international and BaF is more UK based.
Peace

that might be some of the truth, no wonder when b&f is a uk company. however, b&f has attracted a more uk roots type of crowd who follow shaka, so called shaka-ites, and the majority of them make up that board nowadays.
before that it used to be a lot wider in tastes, not only dub and roots
ra has has, as you say, a more international crowd but not necessarily a wider taste of the music, its a lot of roots and dub being discussed here
i think the chatty mouth forum has a wider taste in terms of various forms of the music, but they are limited in a different way
my two pence

Blood + Fire has always been my top reggae forum, with roots archives comming very close second, althought blood and fire did start to go quiet sometime last year it seems to have picked up a bit again, same story over here. Both forums are essential in my opinion, they both have there own appeal.

B & F is not "ooman" friendly at all. Most forums in my opinion, are very "cliquey" and if you have any adverse opinions, you can feel the bad vibes quick-quick.
Stating a different opinion can be done wihtout bashing the person posting. If you really have "a beef" with a post, "PMing" to them is much better than public humiliation.
Roots Archives rules in my book.....Smiles to the crew that run-tings here!

@rootsgal: what do "ooman" and "cliquey" mean? I seem to lack some English knowledge here...
Thanks

"ooman" = woman (patois) and cliquey (not patois) means "a group of people on a forum that "take over" so to speak. On public forums, they gang up on certain posters and their motivation is pure malicious behavior based.
Sorry for the cultural twist on my words...I had that problem on an Aussie board as well.....gone-gone...smiles~
If anyone is offened by little "likkle) bits of patois thrown in, I apologize, no mean spirit behind this. I get caught up in both languages from being married to a Jamaican for 16 years, over 20 years visiting/living on the island and well over 100 trips.
Maximum respect to all....
