I thought we could all play a new game.
The idea is to assemble a complete reggae music production company using the best men (and women) available (be they living or dead).
Your task is to produce the best ANALOGUE reggae music ever made using the cream of the crop.
You need to fill ALL the following posts:
Executive staff:
Producer
Co-Producer
Production staff:
Engineer
Mixing Engineer
Song writer(s)
Musical Arranger
Herbsman
Chalice and Spliff production
Players of instrument and singers:
Lead Singer
DJ / Toaster
Backing singer(s)
Drums
Bass
Percussionist(s)
Lead Guitar
Rhythm Guitar
Keyboards / Piano / Organ
Saxophone(s)
Trumpet
Trombone
Other wind instruments (optional)
Melodica (optional)
Anything else I have missed?
I'm working on my 'team' now and will post it very soon.
Perhaps you could also think of the title for your team's debut LP?

Here's mine:
This band will be known as Leggo Rocker's All Stars
Records will be released only on vinyl on the newly formed label: Delta Attack Records and published by Wibbleron Music Inc.
Recording studio: Channel One
Additional overdubs and remixes done at: MightyZ's, King Tubby's and BullWackies'.
The first LP is "Babylon will Burn" a vocal LP.
There will also be a dub version (called "Leggo Rocker's Dub") and several 12 inch showcase style singles. Sorry no 7 inch 45s or CDs, I hate the pesky things!
Executive staff:

Production staff:

Mixing Engineers: Scientist, Lee Perry and MightZ.
Song writer: Sugar Minott

Wow, if I really tried to answer this fully, I would lose the rest of my evening.
Let me just say that I always wished that Burning Spear had recorded an album or two at the Black Ark with Scratch... perhaps with Pablo playing some licks on the melodica... and Ras Michael on percussion as well!
LP called "mARKus Garvey" he he!

yea ting, i think the matchup of Scratch/Spear has been dreamed about by all! I can take or leave the melodica but i love the idea of ras michael sitting in on percussion. of course, youd have to have the revolutionaries with earl on guitar and king tubby engineering the whole ting. peace

Glad to see I made the mixing crew leggo!
I guess it's no big shame to lose out to Robbie Shakespeare for the Bass player slot!

@ MightyZ - But who's on your team?
@ Seb 'Various Artists' for song writing is cheating! So, probably, is choosing more than one lead singer, but I must admit, that's some awesome team you got there Seb!
Said Seb: "please, no melodica or i burn the tapes"
Sorry all you A Pablo fans but I have to agree with that - the sound of that instrument has begun to drive me nuts over the years!
-- OH, I just realised I left a very important person out, and have edited my post so we now have a collieman.

Save yourself time, cut and paste the text from my initial post so you don't have to write out all the positions from scratch!
