I used to have the tune called 'Peace and love in the ghetto' by Maxi Priest (and Caution) on a tape. I believe it was Maxi Priest his debut release.
Philip 'Papa' Levi did (In-A-Mi Yard) a dj cut to the same riddim track.
Does anyone know if the Maxi Priest tune is ever re-released?

From what I know there isn't a 'recent' press...
The 12" came out on Level Vibes (printed or blank label)with the maxi 'love in the ghetto', levi cut & dub on one side.

in 1984 and it was on a white plain label that someone had printed over in red.
Hi there,
I don't know if you had a reply, but I had the same question more than a year ago on this forum and 1 of the people send me a website where I could download the song.

Please look for MAXI PRIEST on this forum and you will find it. I don't think I can give his name without his permission. GOOD LUCK.

His quote:
It's a superb song called Love In The Ghetto.

It only appeared as a B-side on the 12 inch of Papa Levi- Mi God Mi King on Level Vibes pressing.
Inna Me Yard/Love in the Ghetto.

This song of Phillip Levi (nr 1 in Jamaica in 1984) was come out on three different labels.
Bad Breed,Taxi and Level Vibes.
You have to look for the level vibes one.
