there has been much speculation on how tenor saw died
has anyone got the real facts how it happened.

Not 100% but i think he was mowed down by a car in Texas

Most reports are that his body was found at the side of the road and it's was listed as a Hit N Run

indeed it was in texas that he died, and ran over by a car he did. i have a clipping of that in an old reggae beat magazine. i'll write the whole thing down as soon as get a chance. talks bout his crack cocaine addiction and it was like a deal gone bad. theres also a old nitty gritty album that came out on blacker dread label, tune call "who killed tenor saw". love the tune. nitty gritty was tenor saw's mentor. they were really close as friends as well as sharing some of the same vocal style.

He died age 22, possibly shot over a drug deal gone bad, i heard on a radio station at the time it was Nitty Gritty that did it, or theres the story it was hit and run..

there's no reports about nitty killing tenor saw,i've seen a lot of stories, make a search on the sierra nevada board, or even blood & fire, and you'll see lots of stories, probably a lot closer to the truth than nitty killing him...

Perhaps you're thinking about Supercat killing Nitty Gritty and not NG killing TS?

as i promised i said i was going to write out the entire article from that time period from when tenor died. it was a clipping from an old beat magazine that i had from that time.

Tenor Saw Dies:

dancehall singer tenor saw dies in houston in agust, after being hit by a car. he had been struggling with cocaine addiction recently and his death apparently was caused in part by his dependance. he was 22 years old.
born clive bright in kingston, jamaica. tenor saw was a protoge of sugar minott. he was known for such dancehall hits as "pumpkin belly", "ring the alarm" and "roll call". his nickname came from a big youth song of the same name.
in an interview with leslie singer in cool runnings, aug/ sept. 1986, ironically entitled "tenor saw: a youth with a future", the young singer said: " ....i'll try to walk a million miles from the cocaine and al the rest of that....i don't see where that really help no one. because coke is drugs and people who start using cocaine, them ust can't stop. they become a addict, and not only a addict but it really break you down. it make oyu into a good for nothing. you end up in life as a pauper. cause i've seen many artists who come and start using drugs and fade away so."

there was a large thread on the subject not so long ago either on here or B+F, with lots more info but the conclusion was that no one seemed to know the truth, everyone claimed to have the correct info from there various sources but all where different versions....

...i had the opportunity to talk to king kong recently and he confirmed to me that nitty gritty is in someway responsible...like he was some kind of principle...just to let u know this...regards
