Lone ranger natty burial confusion

is it just me or rangers vocals completely off beat?
in a very unpleasant way...
i can hardly stand to listen to this track..
what went wrong here

If I remember rightly the vocals come out of channel and the reverb on the vocals out of the other channel. If you are only listening to the the reverb channel the vocals would be behind the beat.
Not sure why you would be experiencing this, but it did happen to me once when djing in a pub where the speakers were in different rooms in the pub. I think I probably switched to mono in the end, although that is probably not an option you have.
Incidentally, I am talking about a long, long time ago so apologies if I am wrong!

Funny: i just finished listening to the 'm16' lp while reading tis post. Put the needle back to 'natty burial track' and played with the balance control. Sounds good on the left channel, aweful on the right and best in stereo

Not if, as was the case with my situation, the speakers are in different rooms!!
Hopefully a minor readjustment of Dread Master's balance control will cure the "problem".
